Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- able to provide housekeeping and laundry services meeting Sunrise quality standards
- desire to work with seniors
- able to follow safety protocols and infection control measures
- effective communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- compliant with drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
- Covid-19 and influenza vaccination as required
- if driving Sunrise vehicle, must understand and abide by driver job description and safety responsibilities

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors, cleaning and polishing lavatory, shower and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture, clean and polish glass surfaces and woodwork
- knock on resident’s doors before entering and respect their privacy
- knock on public restroom doors before entering
- maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- transport clean and soiled linens
- collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a clean, sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens according to procedures
- inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- maintain laundry area in a clean and sanitary condition
- assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care upon request
- respond to resident requests and direct feedback to supervisors
- review daily logs for resident changes
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked
- ensure hazards are kept away from exits, comply with fire codes
- promote compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- practice safety procedures including PPE and lockout tagout
- maintain equipment to prevent waste and accidents
- comply with infection control procedures
- participate in team meetings and training
- commit to team goals and serve residents through company principles
- perform other duties as assigned
