Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school education
  • Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop and reach upwards
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Tolerance to exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Must wear uniform and nametag
  • Must follow policies and emergency procedures of the hotel
  • Must maintain personal cleanliness
  • Must embrace the mission, values, and vision of the company

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school education
  • Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
  • Prior knowledge of operating laundry room dryers and washers desired but not required
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop and reach upwards
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Tolerance to exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers
  • Experience working with cleaning chemicals and operating vacuum cleaners or brooms

Job Duties

  • Have a good understanding of all of the hotel's operating procedures
  • Be knowledgeable of room types and standards for supplies
  • Check the general condition of the room and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of any malfunction or damage
  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, replenish supplies and amenities, inspect and report rooms ready for sale to the front desk all in accordance with the hotel’s training and standards
  • Dust and clean all furnishings in guest room including the television, desk, desk chair, desk lamp/shade, air conditioner unit, headboards, nightstand, wall picture, wall lamp/shade and window ledge
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and the cleaning cart in safe, organized and presentable fashion
  • Ensure prompt and systematic servicing of all guest requests
  • Handle guest complaints effectively
  • Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and all other associates
  • Work as a team member
  • Organize and thoroughly prepare bedrooms in the specified length of time whilst respecting internal hotel procedures
  • Obtain approval for no service rooms by inspector or front desk
  • Wear uniform and nametag
  • Follow all policies and emergency procedures of the hotel
  • Maintain discretion by not disturbing guests
  • Perform laundry and public area cleaning
  • Maintain personal cleanliness
  • Be willing to work flexible hours
  • Embrace the mission, values, and vision of the company
  • Conduct deep cleaning when assigned
  • Be available on weekends
  • Perform other duties as designated
