Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
ability to perform manual labor including lifting and bending
capability to work independently and as part of a team
availability to work flexible hours
knowledge of cleaning products and safety procedures
ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Job Qualifications

Previous housekeeping experience preferred
ability to perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods
knowledge of cleaning techniques and disinfectants
good attention to detail
ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines
strong organizational skills
good communication skills
high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units
clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures ensuring water marks are removed
clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance and exit ways
clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp or wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting
clean carpets by vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions
clean hallways, stairways, and elevators
discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles
clean vacant rooms as assigned
ensure areas are clean and equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored at all times
assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner
