Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to use cleaning and disinfecting solutions safely
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- reliable and punctual
- strong organizational skills
- ability to follow safety procedures
- willingness to work flexible hours if needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
- good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- good communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units in resident and recreational areas
- clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures ensuring removal of water marks
- clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways
- clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting
- clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
- clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
- remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- clean hallways, stairways, and elevators
- discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners
- clean vacant rooms as assigned
- ensure that areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner
