Job Requirements

  • Experience in basic cleaning methods
  • Training in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Ability to use required cleaning products in a licensed facility
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to report to work on time and complete assigned shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in basic cleaning methods
  • Three to six months training in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Ability to learn specific usage of required products used in a licensed facility
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in various circumstances and make sound judgments
  • Ability to report to work on time and complete assigned work shifts

Job Duties

  • Dust, wet mop, and disinfect resident room floors
  • Dust and disinfect resident beds and furniture
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms
  • Wash windows inside as needed
  • Clean and disinfect isolation rooms including walls, doors, beds, bedside tables, bed tables, and furniture
  • Empty wastebaskets
  • Transfer to different housekeeping or laundry positions as needed
  • Attend meetings and serve on various employee committees as assigned
  • Practice good safety habits and body mechanics
  • Participate as a Safety Team member
  • Perform other duties as assigned
