Job Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
- Must be male to access restricted areas within the monastery
- Ability to lift heavy equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions and chemical labels
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
- Commitment to supporting diversity and inclusiveness strategic goals
- Physical capability to perform manual cleaning and maintenance tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school education desirable
- Experience in commercial or institutional cleaning preferred
- Basic handyman skills including painting and minor repairs
- Ability to lift heavy equipment ranging from 15 to 30 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Prior experience in similar workplace settings is a plus
Job Duties
- Perform general cleaning of the monastery grounds and interiors
- Carry out painting jobs and minor repairs as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers effectively
- Follow written instructions, safety protocols, and chemical labels carefully
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within restricted areas
- Assist in upkeep and maintenance of institutional facilities
- Report maintenance issues promptly to management
