Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of housekeeping experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards
  • Skills in using cleaning products and equipment
  • Skill in following verbal and written instructions
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Job Duties

  • Meet organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, department policies and procedures, and clinical strategic goals
  • Verbalize a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participate in improvement initiatives
  • Clean assigned area using clinical approved methods and chemicals
  • Maintain assigned area in a clean and sanitary condition free from dirt, dust and other visible soils
  • Handle regulated medical waste in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Follow Duty List for assigned area without deviation unless advised by supervisor
  • Maintain assigned equipment and storage areas properly, keeping it clean and reporting any repair concerns to the supervisor
  • Sweep, mop, polish, and strip floors in rooms and halls
  • Dust and/or polish furniture, blinds, and equipment
  • Clean restrooms and fill dispensers
  • Vacuum, spot clean, and/or shampoo rugs, carpets, and furniture using commercial-type vacuum cleaners and shampooing equipment
  • Report malfunction of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures, and/or damages to room and hall furnishings to supervisor
  • Stock with appropriate supplies
  • Wash dishes or utensils as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
