Job Requirements
- Appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and carry objects
- Ability to push and pull carts
- Ability to walk, sit and stand continuously
- Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist and reach above shoulder height
- Use of cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers and chemicals in a safe manner
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors and workers
- Positive attitude towards the service provided
Job Qualifications
- Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
- Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred
Job Duties
- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
- Actively grow community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms including toilets, vanities, sinks, showers, shower seats and floors
- Completely clean kitchen areas by wiping counters and under objects and mopping floors
- Empty wastebaskets and replace bags
- Dust and polish all surfaces
- Wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters
