Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be flexible with schedule including days and shifts
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work as a team and move from task to task with ease
  • Must be able to use a bed management system such as EPIC, use pagers and phones

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is an advantage
  • Ability to use bed management systems such as EPIC
  • Familiarity with using pagers and phones
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and move between tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital
  • Operate and clean equipment
  • Manage linen services including distributing clean linens and maintaining stock levels on nursing floors
  • Ensure cleaning of floors, surfaces, and specialty areas
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards
  • Handle and package all waste streams safely
  • Provide customer service by greeting and responding to patients, family members, and staff
