Job Requirements
- appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
- the ability to maintain a clean and neat environment
- knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
- ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
- ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds and be able to carry objects
- must be able to push and pull carts
- must be able to continuously walk, sit and stand
- must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height
- must be able to use cleaning equipment safely
- must be able to perform routine repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors and coworkers
- must project a positive attitude towards the service provided
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred
- knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
- ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
- ability to maintain a clean and neat environment
- ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time
Job Duties
- promote the mission and core values of the residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
- as an associate you are expected to have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
- thoroughly clean the bathrooms including toilet, vanity, sink, shower, shower seat and floor with cleaning solution
- clean kitchen areas completely, wipe counters and under objects, mop kitchen floors
- empty wastebaskets and replace bags
- dust and polish all surfaces
- wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters
- clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, disinfecting
- clean all common areas and common bathrooms on a daily basis and as often as needed
- maintain housekeeping carts in clean, orderly manner
- remove, fold and return bed linens
- wash and fold linens
- fill other positions as needed when someone is out
- clean and wash windows
- clean and dust blinds
- general pick-up outside as needed
- attend required in-service training and orientations
- any other assigned duties
