Job Requirements
- Must have appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
- Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers and chemicals safely
- Ability to perform routine repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors and co-workers
- Must project a positive attitude towards service
- Must adhere to LCB's values of professionalism and ethics
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances
- Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
- Take an active role in growing community occupancy by positively representing and interacting with potential residents, family members and professionals
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms including toilets, vanities, sinks, showers, shower seats and floors with cleaning solutions
- Clean kitchen areas completely by wiping counters and under objects and mopping floors
- Empty wastebaskets and replace bags
- Dust and polish all surfaces
- Wipe off windowsills, woodwork and counters
- Clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting
- Clean all common areas and common bathrooms regularly
- Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean and orderly manner
- Perform other assigned housekeeping duties
- Attend required in-service training and orientations
- Remove, fold and return bed linens
- Wash and fold linens
- Fill other positions as needed
- Clean and wash windows
- Clean and dust blinds
- Perform general pick-up outside as needed
