Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Willingness to comply with company policies including safety and drug-free workplace
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly performing physical tasks throughout shift
  • Familiarity with sanitation and cleaning standards
  • Good communication skills in English to interact with staff, managers and guests
  • Ability to read and write English effectively
  • Experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling

Job Duties

  • Transfer linens, towels and other room amenity items from storage to guest rooms and replenish as necessary
  • Fold and hang towels, reassemble bedding, hang robes and pick up guest items
  • Mop and wipe down mirrors and windows, clean restrooms including bathtubs, sinks, showers and floors
  • Vacuum assigned rooms daily and report stains or damage
  • Report room deficiencies requiring maintenance
  • Remove room service trays and empty liquids
  • Organize and maintain linen and amenity closets
  • Follow management instructions for cleaning sequence
  • Notify housekeeping office and turn in lost and found items
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate challenges to management
  • Report room status promptly after cleaning
  • Report suspicious activities and emergencies immediately
  • Attend departmental meetings as scheduled
  • Adhere to quality standards outlined in housekeeping manual
  • Maintain guest rooms with a minimum inspection score of 95%
  • Expediently address priority room statuses
  • Comply with all company safety guidelines and procedures
  • Model company culture including mission, values and standards
