Job Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • must work every other weekend with rest days off during week
  • must attend all mandatory housekeeping department meetings and community in-services
  • must be able to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions
  • must follow cleaning schedules, policies and procedures as outlined in manual
  • must use PPE and chemicals in safe manner as per SDS
  • must be kind and respectful to residents, personnel, visitors and supervisor
  • must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene
  • must wear appropriate uniform and nametag

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • ability to read and write with clarity
  • experience in housekeeping or related cleaning roles preferred
  • ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions
  • good interpersonal skills with residents and staff
  • ability to maintain neat appearance and good personal hygiene
  • commitment to safety and following PPE and chemical usage guidelines
  • professional demeanor and respectful attitude

Job Duties

  • Follow cleaning guidelines and proper product usage as trained
  • clean assigned common spaces daily
  • clean apartments according to Standard Weekly/Annual Standard Service listing
  • empty trash containers and replace liners (3 maximum per unit)
  • dust, mop, and vacuum all unit floors including bathrooms
  • clean bathrooms including floors, countertops, commodes, lavatories, showers, and mirrors
  • change bed linen and make bed (two beds maximum per unit)
  • clean bedrooms including floors and dust visible furniture
  • clean living room including floors and dust visible furniture
  • clean kitchen including visible countertops, sinks, inside microwave, floors
  • clean blinds, windows, baseboards and ceiling fans per schedule
  • wear gloves and wash hands between each unit
  • use clean microfiber mop head and towels per unit
  • dust, mop, and vacuum lobby and other assigned areas
  • follow guidelines for emptying and removing trash
  • stock soap and paper products as needed
  • clean housekeeping cart and storage area
  • place soiled mop heads and cloths in plastic bag and take to laundry
  • perform other duties as assigned
