Job Requirements
- less than high school education required
- 12 to 24 months of related experience preferred
- valid driver license required
- clean driving record required for positions involving driving
- must be at least 21 years of age to drive HonorHealth vehicles
- ability to complete defensive driving training
- physical ability to perform heavy cleaning tasks including lifting, moving equipment, and frequent walking
- adherence to safety and hygiene protocols
- willingness to work evening shifts
- ability to handle medical and regular waste safely
- compliance with all organizational cleaning standards and procedures
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- valid driver license required
- clean driving record as per HonorHealth Network Driver Qualification Policy required for driving positions
- completion of HonorHealth Defensive Driving Course required for driving positions
- knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation
- ability to monitor patient safety and communicate effectively with nursing staff
- experience with floor care and maintenance techniques preferred
Job Duties
- Places linen on distribution carts
- folds and stages scrub sets for stocking in Scrub Ex machines
- cleans and organizes linen room
- fills requisitions for housekeeping supplies
- delivers and replenishes nursing unit supply closets
- stages housekeeper carts with supplies, chemicals and mops
- dust mops floors and corridors as assigned
- inspects cleaning equipment and performs scheduled preventative maintenance
- participates in patient safety rounding and monitors patient for signs of distress
- maintains hard surface floors by following correct processes for daily and periodic floor care
- maintains soft surface floors (carpet) using appropriate spotting and maintenance techniques
- cleans assigned patient and non-patient areas and equipment to organizational standards
- cleans, sanitizes, and makes beds on transfers and discharges
- transports regular waste, medical waste, and linen to appropriate collection sites while following PPE protocols
