Job Requirements
- Maintains quality standards through cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Prepares and labels cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer specifications
- Collects and transports necessary supplies and equipment to work areas
- Cleans and returns equipment to designated area after use
- Observes facility dress code, attendance, and professional behavior policies
- Maintains confidentiality of resident care information
- Attends scheduled in-services and departmental meetings
- Practices general safety rules and disaster plan duties
- Reports broken or hazardous equipment to supervisor
- Demonstrates physical capability to perform duties including standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights
Job Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED
- 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training
- Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines
- Ability to follow departmental policies and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident care information
- Ability to use housekeeping equipment safely and effectively
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift up to 30 pounds
Job Duties
- Maintains quality index range of 75-89% effectiveness
- Performs cleaning functions as assigned according to departmental procedures
- Mixes cleaning chemicals to proper use-dilution and labels them properly
- Prepares and transports supplies and equipment to work areas within 15 minutes of shift start
- Cleans and returns equipment to designated storage areas after use
- Reports broken, damaged, or inoperative equipment and hazardous conditions
- Follows safety protocols including use of gloves and wet floor signs
- Participates in required in-services and departmental meetings
- Demonstrates the ability to use all housekeeping services equipment
- Performs other related duties as assigned
