Job Requirements

  • One year of experience as a lead worker, team leader, or supervisor in a related field
  • Experience equivalent to Housekeeper 3 position
  • Ability to follow safety precautions
  • Capability to operate cleaning equipment
  • Compliance with drug screening and TB evaluation
  • Completion of annual influenza vaccination or valid exemption
  • Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Willingness to supervise staff and manage supplies
  • Subject to national and state background checks

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role in a related area of assignment
  • Or one year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 3 or position equivalent
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment
  • Strong supervisory and organizational skills
  • Ability to plan and implement housekeeping and laundry services
  • Good communication and leadership abilities

Job Duties

  • Supervises, guides, and or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff
  • Manages the cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas
  • Performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities
  • Maintains supplies
  • Supervises and plans work of assigned staff
  • Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed
  • Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
  • Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment
  • Oversees the mending of linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
  • Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items
  • Plans, develops, schedules and implements laundry services
  • Plans, organizes and directs provision of housekeeping, grounds maintenance, laundry and sewing services
  • Presses and store all linens
  • Supervises the cleaning and straightening of assigned areas
