Job Requirements
- One year of experience as a lead worker, team leader, or supervisor in a related field
- Experience equivalent to Housekeeper 3 position
- Ability to follow safety precautions
- Capability to operate cleaning equipment
- Compliance with drug screening and TB evaluation
- Completion of annual influenza vaccination or valid exemption
- Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry duties
- Willingness to supervise staff and manage supplies
- Subject to national and state background checks
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role in a related area of assignment
- Or one year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 3 or position equivalent
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Strong supervisory and organizational skills
- Ability to plan and implement housekeeping and laundry services
- Good communication and leadership abilities
Job Duties
- Supervises, guides, and or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff
- Manages the cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas
- Performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities
- Maintains supplies
- Supervises and plans work of assigned staff
- Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed
- Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
- Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Oversees the mending of linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
- Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items
- Plans, develops, schedules and implements laundry services
- Plans, organizes and directs provision of housekeeping, grounds maintenance, laundry and sewing services
- Presses and store all linens
- Supervises the cleaning and straightening of assigned areas
