Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED diploma preferred
- Current or active Food Handlers Permit (ALF only)
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and perform basic math computations
- Previous long term care experience preferred

Job Duties
- Carries out all cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Director according to department policies and procedures
- Ensures daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to
- Maintains high standard of personal presentation and hygiene
- Correctly and safely uses and maintains cleaning equipment
- Reports any defects to department director
- Practices sensitivity to resident privacy and needs
- Adheres to infection control policies and personal protective equipment requirements
- Completes all required documentation daily
- Performs dusting, polishing, and cleaning of furniture and fixtures
- Operates environmental service equipment such as vacuums, floor cleaners, and buffers
- Wet-mops rooms, halls, and other areas
- Cleans vents, fans, high surfaces, and disposes of trash
- Moves furniture and heavy objects as needed
- Performs terminal cleaning of resident rooms and isolation procedures
- Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and common areas
- Prepares supply packs and delivers linens
- Keeps work areas neat and assists with other duties as assigned
- Treats residents with dignity and respect
- Reports any noncompliance, abuse, or occupational exposures
- Participates in safety and emergency drills
- Completes assigned training and competency assessments
