Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED
  • Ability to operate light floor equipment in patient care areas
  • Capacity to lift and transport patients in emergencies
  • Physical capability to reach, stand, squat, bend, carry and lift supplies up to 35 lbs about 80% of the time
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Must wear protective equipment/clothing as required
  • Valid Indiana drivers license and proof of insurance
  • No experience required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to perform technical cleaning in specialized medical areas
  • Experience operating light floor cleaning machines preferred
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
  • Compliance with safety protocols including wearing protective gear
  • Valid Indiana drivers license and proof of insurance

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize occupied spaces including patient units, office areas, clinics, and procedural areas
  • Remove refuse and soiled linens regularly
  • Operate light floor cleaning equipment effectively in patient care areas
  • Perform technical cleaning in specialized units such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
  • Lift and transport patients in emergency situations
  • Use protective equipment and clothing as required by environment and regulations
  • Climb ladders to complete cleaning tasks
