Job Requirements

  • high school diploma ged or equivalent experience preferred
  • no previous experience required
  • must be able to wear protective equipment clothing required by environment or government regulations such as gowns gloves goggles rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
  • physical requirements include reaching standing for long periods of time squatting bending carrying lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80 percent of the time
  • ability to operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
  • ability to climb ladders
  • ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR Cardiac Cath Mother-Baby NICU OR ED

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • clean and sanitize patient rooms offices clinics clinical and procedural areas and public spaces
  • apply disinfection protocols utilizing approved cleaning tools in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policy
  • conduct hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations and infection prevention protocols
  • communicate and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient safety and care flow
  • operate light floor cleaning equipment and perform technical cleaning in specialized clinical areas such as IR Cardiac Cath Mother-Baby NICU OR ED
  • wear required protective equipment including gowns gloves goggles and appropriate footwear
  • perform physical tasks including reaching standing squatting bending carrying and lifting supplies and equipment
