Job Requirements
- high school diploma ged or equivalent experience preferred
- no previous experience required
- must be able to wear protective equipment clothing required by environment or government regulations such as gowns gloves goggles rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
- physical requirements include reaching standing for long periods of time squatting bending carrying lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80 percent of the time
- ability to operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
- ability to climb ladders
- ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR Cardiac Cath Mother-Baby NICU OR ED

Job Duties
- clean and sanitize patient rooms offices clinics clinical and procedural areas and public spaces
- apply disinfection protocols utilizing approved cleaning tools in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policy
- conduct hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations and infection prevention protocols
- communicate and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient safety and care flow
- operate light floor cleaning equipment and perform technical cleaning in specialized clinical areas such as IR Cardiac Cath Mother-Baby NICU OR ED
- wear required protective equipment including gowns gloves goggles and appropriate footwear
- perform physical tasks including reaching standing squatting bending carrying and lifting supplies and equipment
