Job Duties

  • Cleans areas such as entryways, restrooms, other common areas, including stairwells, hallways, laundry areas, etc.
  • cleans occupied or vacant residential units, dining facilities or other building space as determined by your business unit
  • dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, wipes down flat surfaces, cleans glass, takes out trash, replaces lines or other supplies, and completes other custodial/housekeeping duties as assigned
  • communicates daily with housekeeping supervisor to relay any issues associated with an assignment, a building or space, occupant concerns, or other building needs including supplies and equipment
  • reports noticeable maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor or other designated contact
  • reports any suspicious person to Campus Police
  • follows the rules and regulations of WashU in St. Louis
  • performs other duties as assigned
