Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience preferred
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions in English
- Completion of departmental training program within 30 days of employment
- Certification requirements fulfilled upon hire
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment properly

- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
Job Duties
- Perform the full range of restroom and patient room cleaning following established protocols
- Follow infection prevention procedures and select proper cleaning chemicals
- Maintain routine cleaning tasks including dust mopping, wet mopping, and cleaning walls, doors, and windows
- Properly remove and dispose of waste according to guidelines for solid, biohazard, chemotherapy, and pharmaceutical waste
- Consistently use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
- Use Ultra Violet Light equipment safely and effectively
- Exhibit positive customer service skills when interacting with staff, patients, and visitors
- Participate in team projects and performance improvement initiatives
- Document daily assignments and utilize Epic system for patient and bed flow management
