Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Minimum of one year housekeeping experience preferably in healthcare or hospitality setting
  • Familiarity with proper cleaning procedures, infection control, and universal precautions
  • Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and ability to interpret Safety Data Sheets
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk extensively
  • Moderate twisting, stooping, kneeling, and bending
  • Ability to push frequently and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasional ladder climbing
  • Regular use of hearing and vision at normal levels
  • Must be able to work weekend shifts

Job Duties

  • Provide comprehensive cleaning services for assigned areas including vacuuming, dusting, waste removal, changing and washing bed linens, and cleaning floors, fixtures, and appliances following departmental guidelines
  • Maintain assigned housekeeping supplies and equipment in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
  • Report resident complaints or concerns to the Housekeeping Manager or Hospitality Director
  • Offer friendly customer service to residents or guests in the unit during cleaning services, responding to questions or conversations as appropriate
  • Participate in cross-training between housekeeping and laundry to provide support for laundry operations when required
  • Provide backup housekeeping support to other areas of Montereau as needed
  • Must be able to work weekend shifts
