Job Requirements
- Must be able to access all areas of the property, including multilevel structures, with or without elevator
- Must be able to tolerate outdoor work conditions
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must possess a government-issued state ID or valid driver's license if required by management
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Must comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain effective communication with supervisors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or grounds maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Strong communication skills for verbal and written interactions
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, climbing, and walking
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
- Continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
- Complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
- Assist other team members when necessary
- Utilize and complete make ready cleaning checklist for all apartment homes cleaned
- Clean all common areas not less than one time per day
- Clean and monitor restrooms for cleanliness and inventory of necessities not less than two times per day
- Care for, maintain, and inventory all equipment used to complete job duties
- Maintain frequent verbal and written communication with supervisor
- Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property, co-workers, or residents
- Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance
- Water potted plants daily and newly planted foliage as directed
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, fertilizing, raking, weeding, and spraying insecticides
- Paint exterior of buildings as needed and pick up litter daily
- Maintain exterior light fixtures and replace light bulbs
- Perform pool care
- Assist with inventory control and upkeep of grounds equipment and supplies
- Assist with emergency maintenance and after-hours emergency situations
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturers recommendations
- Maintain lawn and cleaning equipment per guideline
- Pressure wash and blow walks and breezeways
- Keep pool area clean and organized
- Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
- Ensure storage areas and entrances are locked and lighting is adequate
- Assist in custodial work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning windows in common areas
