Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or maintenance preferred
- ability to follow OSHA safety standards
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- availability to work Monday through Friday
- valid government issued state ID or driver’s license if required
- good attendance and punctuality
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- capability to work under time constraints
- willingness to participate in emergency standby schedule
- must maintain professional appearance and uniform at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or porter experience preferred
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- basic computer literacy
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational skills
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- ability to multitask and work under time constraints
- physical ability to perform outdoor and indoor maintenance tasks
- ability to operate lawn and cleaning equipment safely
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
- continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
- complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
- assist other team members when necessary
- as housekeeper, complete make ready cleaning checklist for apartment homes
- clean all common areas at least once daily
- clean and monitor restrooms at least twice daily for cleanliness and inventory
- care, maintain, and inventory all equipment used in job duties
- communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor daily
- report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property, co-workers, or residents
- maintain professional appearance and required uniform
- as porter, water potted plants and newly planted foliage daily
- perform lawn care such as mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and raking
- perform exterior painting and pick up litter daily
- maintain exterior light fixtures and replace bulbs
- assist with pool maintenance and emergency situations
- perform scheduled maintenance on equipment
- routinely pressure wash and blow walks and breezeways
- participate in standby emergency schedule for after-hours coverage
- ensure storage areas and entrances are locked and well-lit
- assist in custodial work in common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning
