Job Requirements

  • must have high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in housekeeping or maintenance preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 25 to 50 pounds
  • must have government issued state ID or valid driver’s license if required
  • ability to tolerate outdoor conditions
  • reliable attendance
  • ability to work monday to friday
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • must be detail oriented and organized

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior housekeeping or related experience preferred
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • ability to apply common sense to detailed instructions
  • ability to work under time constraints
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
  • limited computer literacy
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
  • continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
  • complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
  • assist other team members when necessary
  • complete a make ready cleaning checklist for all apartment homes cleaned and submit to Community Manager
  • clean all common areas daily
  • clean and monitor restrooms for cleanliness and inventory not less than two times per day
  • care for and maintain all equipment used for job duties
  • maintain frequent verbal and written communication with supervisor
  • report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property, co-workers, or residents
  • maintain professional appearance and wear required property uniform
  • water all potted plants in community common areas daily and additional newly planted foliage as directed
  • perform lawn care including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, raking, and weed pulling
  • spray insecticides and maintain watering and drainage systems
  • assist with exterior building maintenance including painting, litter pickup, cleaning light fixtures, and fence maintenance
  • care for pools
  • assist with inventory control and upkeep of grounds equipment and supplies
  • participate in emergency standby schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
  • lock storage areas and maintain adequate lighting at all times
  • assist in custodial work in common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and pet stations, and cleaning windows
