Job Requirements
- Must be able to access all areas of the property including multilevel structures with or without elevator
- Ability to tolerate outdoor conditions during work hours
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must effectively communicate with supervisors
- Ability to complete tasks within reasonable time
- Must have excellent attendance
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday
- Must participate in emergency standby schedule as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or porter experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focusing
- Basic computer literacy
- Possess government issued state ID or valid driver's license if required
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
- Continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
- Complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
- Assist other team members when necessary
- Utilize make ready cleaning checklist and complete for all apartment homes cleaned
- Clean all common areas not less than one time per day
- Clean and monitor restrooms for cleanliness and inventory of necessities not less than two times per day
- Care for, maintain, and inventory all equipment used to complete job duties
- Communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor daily
- Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding property, co-workers, or residents
- Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Water all potted plants in community common areas daily and additional newly planted foliage as directed
- Perform grounds maintenance including watering lawn, shrubs, trimming, mowing, fertilizing, raking, pulling weeds, spraying insecticides, maintaining watering and drainage systems, turning soil, and reseeding lawn
- Paint exterior of buildings, pick up litter/trash on grounds daily, clean and maintain exterior light fixtures and replace bulbs, install and maintain fences and gates, care for pools, assist in inventory control and upkeep of grounds equipment and supplies
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on manufacturer recommendations
- Maintain lawn and cleaning equipment according to guidelines
- Perform routine pressure washing and blowing of walks and breezeways
- Assist with pool area cleanliness and trash receptacle maintenance
- Participate in standby emergency schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ensure storage areas and entrances are locked and adequately lit at all times
- Assist in custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and pet stations, cleaning windows in common areas
