Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday
  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Valid state ID or driver's license if required by management
  • Basic computer literacy

  • Prior experience in housekeeping or porter role preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Physical ability to perform tasks required
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
  • Valid state ID or driver's license if required by management

Job Duties

  • Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
  • Continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
  • Complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
  • Assist other team members when necessary
  • Complete a make ready cleaning checklist and submit to community manager for all apartment homes cleaned
  • Clean all common areas at least once per day
  • Clean and monitor restrooms at least twice per day for cleanliness and inventory
  • Maintain care, maintenance, and inventory of all equipment used
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor at least once daily
  • Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding property, co-workers, or residents
  • Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance and attitude
  • Water potted plants and newly planted foliage as directed daily
  • Perform lawn care including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, raking, pulling weeds, and spraying insecticides
  • Paint exterior buildings, pick up litter/trash daily, maintain exterior light fixtures and replace bulbs
  • Assist with emergency maintenance and after-hours emergency coverage
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment as per manufacturer recommendations
  • Pressure wash/blow walks and breezeways regularly
  • Assist in keeping pool area clean and organized
  • Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
  • Lock storage areas and maintain adequate lighting in entrances
  • Assist in custodial work in common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and window cleaning
