Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in housekeeping or property maintenance preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Friday
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must have government issued state ID or valid driver’s license if required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Availability to participate in standby emergency schedule for after-hour coverage
- Must follow OSHA standards and company safety policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures
- Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints
- Familiarity with maintenance and cleaning equipment
- Basic computer literacy
- Good physical condition to perform required duties
- Professional appearance and attitude
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
- Continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
- Complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
- Assist other team members when necessary
- Utilize make ready cleaning checklist and turn in to Community Manager for all apartment homes cleaned
- Clean all common areas not less than one time per day
- Clean and monitor restrooms for cleanliness and inventory of necessities not less than two times per day
- Care for, maintain, and inventory all equipment used to complete job duties
- Communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor daily
- Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property, co-workers, or residents
- Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Water potted plants daily and additional foliage as directed
- Perform lawn mowing, trimming, fertilizing, raking, pulling weeds, spraying insecticides, maintaining watering and drainage systems
- Paint exterior of buildings as needed
- Pick up litter and trash on grounds daily
- Clean and maintain exterior light fixtures and replace bulbs
- Install and maintain fences and gates
- Care for pools
- Assist in inventory control and upkeep of grounds equipment and supplies
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations including fire watch
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment
- Routine pressure washing and blowing of walks and breezeways
- Assist in custodial work including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and pet stations, cleaning windows in common areas
- Participate in standby emergency schedule
- Ensure storage areas and entrances are locked and lighting is maintained
