Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Physical ability to perform duties including walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must have a government issued state ID or valid driver’s license if required
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday
  • Excellent attendance and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or porter experience preferred, especially in multi-family housing or hotel industry
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Must possess a government issued state ID or valid driver’s license if required by management

Job Duties

  • Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy and stay aware of work-safety requirements
  • Continue education of safety training as required by company and/or State and Federal Law
  • Complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task
  • Assist other team members when necessary
  • Complete a make ready cleaning checklist and turn in to Community Manager
  • Clean all common areas daily
  • Clean and monitor restrooms for cleanliness and inventory at least twice daily
  • Care for cleaning equipment, maintain and inventory tools
  • Maintain frequent verbal and written communication with supervisor
  • Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding property, co-workers or residents
  • Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance
  • Water potted plants and newly planted foliage daily
  • Perform groundskeeping activities including mowing, trimming shrubs, fertilizing, raking, pulling weeds and spraying insecticides
  • Paint exteriors, pick up litter/trash daily, maintain exterior light fixtures and replace bulbs
  • Assist in pool care and emergency maintenance situations
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations
  • Routine pressure washing and blowing of walks and breezeways
  • Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend and holiday coverage
  • Ensure storage areas and entrances are locked and adequately lit
  • Assist with custodial work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and cleaning windows in common areas
