Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least 1 year of prior housekeeping experience
- ability to work the 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift including every other weekend
- pass background criminal history check
- pass pre-employment drug test
- complete TB skin testing upon hire
- comply with federal COVID-19 vaccination requirements or obtain exemptions
- physically capable of performing cleaning tasks
- able to safely handle cleaning chemicals
- willingness to follow safety and infection control protocols
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year prior housekeeping experience
- experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred
- knowledge of stripping and waxing floors
- skills in carpet cleaning including extraction and bonnet cleaning
- ability to follow sanitary and safety guidelines
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Ensuring the facility is kept clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp/wet mopping, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, trash removal and removal of bio-hazard waste
- keeping assigned areas clean and attractive
- promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection
- ensuring all equipment is in working order
- completing daily routine tasks with flexibility to perform other Environmental Services duties as needed
- maintaining cleaning supplies and reporting supply needs
- adhering to safety and hygiene protocols
