Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- able to provide housekeeping and laundry services in resident centered environment meeting or exceeding Sunrise quality standards
- desire to work with seniors
- ability to follow community policies and procedures
- ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- physical ability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- ability to work Tuesday through Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM
- as applicable, review and sign Driver job description if driving Sunrise vehicle
- pass pre-employment drug test
- participate in required health testing
- comply with COVID-19 and influenza vaccination mandates as required

- understanding of safety and infection control practices
Job Duties
- perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors, rugs, and carpets
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture
- knock on residents' doors before entering and respect privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including linens to appropriate areas
- collect and remove trash maintaining cleanliness
- collect, clean, and redistribute laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens per procedures
- inspect linens for wear and tear and follow SOP for damaged items
- assist care managers with resident care when requested
- practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- document resident information in Daily Log
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked
- keep cords, carts, and equipment clear of hazards
- comply with occupational health and safety regulations
- practice safety procedures including PPE and fire extinguisher use
- maintain equipment to avoid waste and accidents
- comply with infection control techniques
- participate in team and community engagement programs
- attend meetings as directed
- maintain compliance with required training
- perform other duties as assigned
