Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks

Job Duties
- Follows cleaning assignments, fills housekeeping carts with materials and supplies, mixes cleaning solutions and transports them to work areas
- cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, tile fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions
- cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all resident rooms, bathrooms, and offices within specific schedules
- sanitizes and polishes sinks, tubs, toilets, brass, mirrors and similar fixtures
- removes soiled bed linens, makes beds with fresh linens if assigned, and cleans furniture upon resident discharge
- sweeps and mops all floor areas, vacuums carpets using light vacuum, spot cleans carpets with appropriate solutions, arranges furniture and equipment after cleaning
- disposes of trash by emptying wastebaskets and bringing trash to the dumpster
- washes and launders resident or facility laundry if assigned and returns clean laundry appropriately
- inspects areas after cleaning to ensure cleanliness and neatness
- cleans and maintains sanitation equipment and notifies supervisor of equipment needing repair
- follows all safety and infection control procedures to ensure the safety of residents, co-workers, and facility property
- participates in ongoing education programs including fire safety, infection control, disaster response and other required training
