Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving furniture and cleaning
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
- Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Experience in a long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to analyze and follow instructions
- Ability to respond to simple written or verbal instructions
- Demonstrated courtesy in interactions with residents and visitors
Job Duties
- Follows cleaning assignments and prepares housekeeping carts with materials and supplies
- Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas using germicidal solutions
- Removes soiled bed linens and makes beds
- Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors and carpets
- Handles laundry duties by transporting and laundering resident or facility linens
- Performs routine maintenance on sanitation equipment and reports damage
- Adheres to all safety and infection control procedures
