Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • Preferably at least one year housekeeping experience
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to comply with OSHA and infection control standards
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
  • Must be reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Preferably one year experience in the housekeeping field
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting protocols
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime

Job Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices and public areas
  • Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep and take out trash
  • Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the facility
  • Clean areas with disinfectants
  • Refill supplies such as paper products and soap
  • Assure that supply closets are kept clean and orderly
  • Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored and away from patient access
  • Assist Housekeeping Supervisor and other staff as requested
  • Report any situations that may affect patient or employee health
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and risk-preventive environment
  • Comply with infection control, OSHA, and safety policies and procedures
