Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
- Must be able to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to occasionally sit
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
- Sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all floors and stairways
- Spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets and runners
- Rotate runners in hallways and entryways
- Clean, sanitize and polish lavatory, shower and sink fixtures and facilities
- Stock dispensers as necessary
- Scrub bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
- Maintain equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
- Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place in designated pick-up areas
- Collect, clean and redistribute community laundry
- Maintain commercial laundry in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- Ensure cords, carts, equipment and hazards are kept out of the way and not blocking exits in compliance with fire codes
- Report needed repairs and supply needs to the Lead Housekeeper
- Perform other duties as assigned
