Job Requirements

- On-the-job training provided
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies as instructed
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and moving furniture as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- May occasionally spray buff, strip or wax floors following center procedures including the use of wet floor signs
- Vacuums carpeted rooms
- Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
- Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures
- Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
- Cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- Prevents and removes wax and dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways
- Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies as needed
- Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies using a ladder
- Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient and resident rooms including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills
- Moves furniture to clean behind and underneath according to center procedures
- Turns bed mattresses after cleaning
