- Must meet the assisted living requirements for criminal history screening
- must have sincere interest in providing quality and innovative care for seniors
- ability to understand the policies and procedures of the Community including emergency plans
- follow mandatory reporting requirements and Resident Rights
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- state-specific certificates and licenses as required
Job Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping experience in a similar or hospitality environment preferred
- familiarity with various cleaning agents and tools, and their appropriate use
- familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheet)
- understanding of health standards and protocols to maintain a sanitary environment
- knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures, especially regarding the handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- ability to notice and address small issues before they escalate, ensuring rooms and facilities are thoroughly cleaned
- skills to efficiently manage cleaning schedules while being flexible to respond to immediate needs
- ability to adapt to different tasks and needs of residents
- capable of interacting positively with residents, understanding, and respecting their needs for privacy and comfort
- ability to identify and resolve issues related to cleanliness or maintenance without extensive supervision
Job Duties
- Clean rooms by dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
- sanitize toilets, showers, and sinks
- clean and organize common shared spaces such as lounges and dining areas
- laundry services such as washing, drying, and folding residents' clothes and linens
- remove trash and recycling from rooms and common areas
- ensure adequate supplies of toiletries, paper products, and other essentials are properly stocked
- help to maintain a safe environment by reporting any potential hazards and cleaning up spills that may put a resident or employee at risk
