Job Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Must be able to respond to guest queries and requests in a timely manner
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible part time hours
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and sanitary procedures
- Must be able to work at the California Rehabilitation Institute located at 2070 Century Park East, Los Angeles, CA 90067
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks required by the job
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
- sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
- vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
- shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
- dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
- cleans metal fixtures and fittings
- empties and cleans trash containers
- disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
- cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- wipes down glass surfaces
- makes up beds and changes linens as required
- realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- responds to guest queries and requests
- responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
- contributes to team efforts
- exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
- performs other duties as assigned
