Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to regularly sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read or hear
- Competence in using housekeeping supplies and equipment daily
- Willingness to follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks as directed
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Experience in long-term care environment preferred

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in residents' rooms such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces and sanitizes
- Collect community resident linens
- Perform general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by supervisor
- Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Transport clean and soiled linen to the housekeeping room
- Maintain all public and common areas including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
- Maintain handrails to ensure clean and debris-free
- Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Sweep and mop floors
- Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning including use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents
- Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following user manual instructions
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner
- Notify relevant management of resident safety issues or concerns
- Notify when supplies need replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service with positive attitude
- Exhibit excellent time-management skills
- Work independently or with a team
