Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- experience in long-term care preferred
- ability to read and understand manuals and instructions
- basic math skills
- problem solving ability
- interpret instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- fluent English
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- physical ability to kneel, stand, walk, and talk
- ability to use office equipment and housekeeping supplies safely
Job Qualifications

- experience working in a long-term care facility preferred
- ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
- basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- ability to interpret instructions in various forms
- fluent in written and spoken English
Job Duties
- Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors
- maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
- maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris
- clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
- empty trash cans and replace liners
- sweep and mop floors
- utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents
