Job Requirements

  • ability to understand instructions, policies and guidelines
  • ability to engage in effective communication with management and staff
  • ability to follow guidelines, adhere to time objectives, and productivity measurements
  • ability to apply good judgment at all times
  • physical ability to remain stationary, be mobile, reach, handle objects, detect scent and sounds
  • ability to position self to access low areas, balance, bend, kneel or crouch
  • ability to push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • capability to work in various environmental conditions such as outside weather, wet conditions, presence of fumes or chemicals, and moderate to loud noise levels

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates
  • cleans assigned guest rooms according to company standards, policies and procedures
  • ensures housekeeping carts, cart rooms and laundry areas are maintained to company standards while in use
  • stocks carts and cart rooms as necessary or directed by management
  • reports all maintenance issues to the front desk or manager on duty
  • reports any remaining guest property in check-out rooms to the front desk and manager on duty
  • assists and provides reasonable accommodation in response to guest requests whenever possible and practical
  • complies with all safety and security policies and procedures
  • completes all required and annual Extended Stay University training
  • assists with cleaning other areas of the hotel including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells and common areas
  • maintains overall hotel cleanliness
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
