Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or custodial role preferred
  • ability to adhere to company policies and procedures
  • must be able to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to complete required training
  • willingness to comply with safety and security standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and company guidelines
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates
  • cleans assigned guest rooms adhering to company standards, policies and procedures
  • ensures housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas are maintained to company standards while in use
  • stocks carts and cart rooms as directed by management
  • reports all maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager on duty
  • reports any remaining guest property in a check-out room directly to the front desk and manager on duty
  • assists and provides reasonable accommodation in response to guest requests whenever possible and practical
  • complies with all safety and security policies and procedures
  • completes all required and annual Extended Stay University training
  • assists with cleaning other areas of the hotel as assigned by the manager including associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells and common areas
  • responsible for maintaining overall hotel cleanliness
  • other duties as assigned by the management team
