Job Requirements
- Ability to work the specified hours including Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday shifts
- Physical capability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Effective communication skills including hearing and distinguishing speech and sounds
- Visual acuity necessary for job functions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to comply with hospital safety guidelines and policies
- Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three months of related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of safety principles and compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA standards
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned working areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
- Participate in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
- Keep assigned areas fully stocked with supplies including paper towels and toilet paper
- Maintain stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
- Maintain good customer relations at all times
- Sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
- Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards set by the hospital and relevant regulatory bodies
