Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • one to three months related experience
  • ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
  • visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • available to work specified night shift hours
  • able to maintain confidentiality and comply with safety regulations
  • willingness to work PRN (as needed) schedule

Job Duties

  • maintains a clean/neat environment in working area including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • participates in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper
  • responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • maintains good customer relations at all times
  • may sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
