Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to work effectively within a team

  • Understanding of cleaning procedures in healthcare settings

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participates in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies including paper towels and toilet paper
  • Maintains stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintains good customer relations at all times
  • May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
  • Complies with safety principles and regulations relevant to the healthcare environment
