Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months related experience preferred
  • Ability to work specified afternoon shift hours
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform duties
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish sounds
  • Ability to adhere to safety and confidentiality standards
  • Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participate in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keep assigned areas stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper
  • Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintain good customer relations at all times
  • Sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens as needed
  • Comply with safety principles, laws, and regulations related to healthcare cleaning standards
