Job Requirements

  • Able to work scheduled afternoon shifts Monday through Friday and every other weekend/holiday
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and moving furniture
  • Ability to understand and follow safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards including CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean/neat environment in working areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned including dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc
  • Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintain good customer relations at all times
  • May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
