Job Requirements
- Must be able to work specified hours including every other weekend and holidays
- Experience in custodial or cleaning roles in healthcare or related environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Visual acuity adequate to perform duties
- Physical ability to carry out tasks such as moving furniture and cleaning
- Willingness to comply with safety standards and organizational policies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three months of related experience
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily including visual acuity and effective communication skills
- Ability to work the specified afternoon shift hours
- Commitment to organizational values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
- Participate in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
- Keep assigned area fully stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper
- Maintain stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
- Maintain good customer relations at all times
- Sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
- Comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards such as CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
