Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work specified hours including every other weekend and holidays
  • Experience in custodial or cleaning roles in healthcare or related environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform duties
  • Physical ability to carry out tasks such as moving furniture and cleaning
  • Willingness to comply with safety standards and organizational policies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months of related experience
  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily including visual acuity and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work the specified afternoon shift hours
  • Commitment to organizational values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participate in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keep assigned area fully stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper
  • Maintain stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintain good customer relations at all times
  • Sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
  • Comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards such as CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
