Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work specified hours including afternoon shifts and rotating weekends/holidays
  • Experience in housekeeping is required
  • Ability to perform essential job functions including cleaning tasks
  • Visual acuity adequate for position duties
  • Ability to communicate and understand speech effectively
  • Compliance with safety, laws, and regulations including CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA
  • Maintain confidentiality and work well in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months of related housekeeping experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform cleaning duties
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to mission, vision, and core values of the employer
  • Understanding of safety principles and compliance requirements

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participates in cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper
  • Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintains good customer relations at all times
  • Sorts, washes, and accurately delivers linens
  • Performs other duties as assigned
