Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual cleaning tasks
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to comply with facility policies and procedures
- Background check clearance
Job Qualifications
- Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful
- Experience in use of floor-care equipment is helpful
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis
- Use proper chemicals in correct proportions
- Dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors
- Empty trash containers and replace liners
- Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor
- Wash and dry windows using proper chemicals and equipment
- Report repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department
- Request needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor
- Identify and correct safety hazards
- Attend weekly in-services and comply with Patient Care Management Systems
- Assure patient and resident safety
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
